"I have been with State Farm for almost 9 years and they were wonderful up until about 6 months ago. Clearly, corporate has put an AI in charge of monitoring their policies. Any time there is an error with your account, they will not call you to work out a solution, they will simply cancel your policy. Just cancelled. The roof on your new house didn’t pass inspection. We’ve cancelled your policy, here’s your refund check, you have until this date to get the roof fixed and your policy re-instated. A few months later: Hey, we can’t find your deposit and your mortgage company doesn’t have it, so instead of sending you the bill you've been waiting for or--heaven forbid--calling you, we’re cancelling your policy. Again. I just don’t get it. This wasn’t even the hard part. I wasn’t filing a claim. There was zero need to use such threatening posturing. How are they going to talk to me if my house burns down and the world has fallen down around my ears and I need help? I’ll take my chances elsewhere, thanks. Not a good neighbor. Not Iowa nice."
